Sat Aug 30    Salt "Grand Opening" and "Inaugural Labor Day Salty Dog Hot Dog Eating Contest"  1:00pm 

Come join our Grand Opening Party here at Salt, there will be live music, hot dogs, of course Beer, soda, and give-aways.  But that's just the start... The First Annual "Salty Dog" Hot Dog Eating Contest is for the first 25 entrants, and starts at 1 .  So whether you want to participate or jusy watch in awe come join us and cheer on the "Eaters".  For those participating there will be a Handsome Trophy as well as bragging rights for the entire year, and best of all, all proceeds will be donated to The Lakeland Emergency Squad!  All details and registration forms are available at Salt.  This contest is open to the first 50 people to sign up (sorry, only 18 and over) and spots will fill fast! 

Salt HAPPY HOUR.....What exactly does this mean?.....well, it means $2.00 McSorley's Drafts (Did you say $2.00 McSorley's drafts?) Yes, $2.00 pints of THE McSorley's Ale. Is that all you ask? HELL NO, we will also be doing "Buy one thing off the bar menu and get another one (of equal or lesser value) for free." That means you can bring that pretty little girl at the office, or that cute guy you've been eyeing up at work, buy them something off the bar menu, and get your own item for free....what a deal! There will also be daily wine and drink specials!!

So come check it out, meet some friends, get your Irish up with a pint of McSorley's, get some great eats and just enjoy!!! That's what Salt is all about!

Come meet and chat it up with the actual Brewer and the people from River Horse Brewery in Lambertville NJ. Be one of the first to try their 08 Imperial Cherry Amber. There will be give-aways as well as beer specials...So come on down, have a few cold beers and "Meet Your Maker"! 

Starting Aug 12 and every other Tue Salt will be host to our local unknown talents.  Here's a chance for you to bring your talents, whatever they may be, to the public.  Be it music, poetry, juggling, a dance routine, or even whistling dixie out your nose while drinking a beer and playing the piano with your toes...it's you time to shine!  The winner (who will be judged by those in attendance as well as Salt staff) has the opportunity to win prizes and ribbons, and of course the right to brag about winning the Salt Talent Night!

Update Aug 13: What a piss we had last night!! We had a "true to life" Batman skit which was awesome as well as a "The Life Of Gary" which you had to hear to believe...Gary walked home with the "Golden Crown", a ribbon, and a beer on the house...as well as now being the king of the mic hear at Salt! Open mic will be held again in 2 weeks on Tuesday, August 26...so bring your talent, your friends, your thirst, your hunger, your NEED to be heard and lay it all out hear on the Salt Stage...walk home with the crown and the pride of knowing you kicked ass on the Salt Stage!!

Salt will be home to all the games this season.  Come cheer on the "World Champion" Giants, or see where "Crybaby" Favre will be playing, or even just come in to watch the Jets lose week after week...whatever your thing is, the bar is open, the beer is cold, the food is awesome and the season has started!
